In basic terms, Garden Swim Ponds are a hybrid of a water garden and a natural swimming pool. They require planting and filter zones, but do not need a wall to define the swim zone like a natural swimming pool typically has, therefore costing less. Garden swim ponds are great for several reasons.

  • They are flexible in design, using a rubber membrane  for containment, and can be practically any size.
  • Garden Swim Ponds do not require a wall to separate the filter area from the main pond and swimming area.
  • These, like our natural swimming pools, rely on biological filtration, aeration, and plants to clean and filter the water.
  • They are typically less costly per square foot than natural swimming pools.
